Do you really know yourself?
Ethan (Sathya Sridharan) a brilliant but reclusive neuroscientist, is attempting to surpass his father’s legacy with his own experiment – a machine to split his conscious mind and isolate intelligence. However, Ethan fragments his consciousness into several emotional states, each in their own timeline. Every hour the cycle of behaviours resets, giving Ethan six minutes at a time to piece together what’s happening and work toward a solution. Central to Ethan’s efforts is his girlfriend and academic colleague, Dr. Alli Fisher.
With a focus on scientific authenticity and cutting-edge neurological theory, this is a grounded, science-based thriller that poignantly explores our mind’s fragility and our sense of self. The work has obsessed him and along with Allie (Paton Ashbrook), the two navigate trauma, ambition, and missteps of the past. But, which Ethan are we watching, who is Allie helping, who can be trusted?
Minor Premise has a fabulous yet incredibly harrowing central performance from Sathya Sridharan.
